MEMBERS PLAYING RIGHTS
 
CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP
 

MEN & WOMEN FULL PLAYING MEMBERSHIP

A Full Playing Member over the age of 19 will enjoy full playing rights and all benefits. Full Playing Membership entitles that member to bring their partner and dependent children on to the course at no charge, providing that the Full Playing Member is present when their guests are playing. As a Full Playing Member, they shall enjoy full playing rights and all benefits and privileges of the club, but their partners and dependent children do not.

COMBINED MEMBERSHIP

Combined membership entitles couples who live together at a discounted subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM of the club. Couples will receive the same entitlements as Full Playing Members.

75+ MEMBERSHIP

Members over the age of 75 years shall be referred to as a Full Playing Member who retains full playing rights and all benefits and privileges of the club, but at a reduced subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM of the club.

MEN & WOMEN 9-HOLE MEMBERSHIP

A 9-Hole Member has the same status as a Full Playing Member but with the entitlement to only play on either the front nine holes or the back nine holes at one visit. Subscription is at a reduced rate set by the Executive Committee for approval at an AGM of the club.

9-HOLE COMBINED MEMBERSHIP

A 9-hole Combined membership entitles couples who live together at a discounted subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM of the club, and have the same status as a 9-hole Member, to only play on either the front nine holes or the back nine holes at one visit. Couples will receive the same entitlements as Full Playing Members.

FIRST TIME MEMBERSHIP

A person who has not been affiliated to a NZ golf club in the past shall be referred to as a First Time Member who shall enjoy full playing rights and all benefits and privileges of the club, but at a reduced subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM of the club.

SEASONAL MEMBERSHIP

Winter and Summer Members have playing rights only during the period commencing on the 1st October to 31st March, or 1st April to 30th September. The player has a NZ affiliated handicap for the duration of their membership. The player can play anytime and join in the match of the day, but cannot compete for club competitions or trophies, (except when invited by the club on opening or closing days, club Christmas party, husband and wives, ladies and mates, parent and child events), nor represent the club in any capacity.

19 to 25 YEARS MEMBERSHIP

A member aged between 19 ands 25 years  who shall be referred to as a Full Playing Member who retains full playing rights and all benefits and privileges of the club, but at a reduced subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM.

JUNIOR 14 to 18 YEARS MEMBERSHIP

A member between the age of 14 and 18 years, who is not a member of the Selwyn Hub, shall be referred to as a Full Playing Member with full playing rights and all benefits and privileges of the club (except without voting rights), at a reduced subscription set by the Executive Committee and approved at an AGM. 

JUNIOR ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

For Under 19 members that belong to the Futures Canterbury Selwyn Hub, when deemed appropriate to play in club days, and if they are associated with the Hororata Golf Club, are eligible to become a Junior Active Member, which entitles that member to play in all club competitions and represent the club. Junior Active Members do not have voting rights.

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

A Social Member is a member who has no playing rights except with the special sanction of the Executive Committee and on payment of green fees. A Social Member may use the clubhouse and does not have voting rights.
